I have over 10 years of experience with strength and conditioning instruction. Staying on top of current research and following proven methods of success are my business.
My passion for working in health and fitness is driven by proven research of how exercise is the number one component to reducing the factors of aging. This along with the success of my clients accomplishing their fitness goals and improving their quality of life makes my work not feel like work. Proper form and progression is the key to an optimal fitness plan. I TEACH the why and how behind every exercise as we all have busy lives and don't want to waste time doing what is ultimately not effective or worse yet, harmful. I am there to coach and get you through those last few fatigued repetitions. It pays off and adds so much to your life to be strong. Trust me!
My style is to make working out fun and efficient with a wide variety of exercises for each muscle group. We will not repeat the same workout session as it is important to change your routine, keep the body guessing and not plateau. I specialize in strength training since well-developed muscles are important for weight loss, injury prevention, functionality and living an easier, active lifestyle. Committing to a fitness plan adds vitality to life and greater ease in daily activity. I know exactly how to push your body to give you the results you are looking for!
I work with people of all ages and backgrounds from the advanced athlete looking to improve their sport or hobby, those who have never worked out or stepped into a gym, pre and post natal moms to individuals struggling with pain management and/or post surgery. Balance and posture are also important areas of focus.
I have witnessed the tremendous benefits strength training has made in my 84 year old father struggling with Alzheimer’s and strokes. Being a competitive Irish dancer throughout adulthood also helped contribute to my understanding of the importance of body building as pertains to bone density and muscle development.
